NEWSLETTER - Monday 25th January 2010

Great to be back to football this week for most of our teams!!

GENERAL

A big welcome to our new 1st Team Physio Rachel Evans. Rachel has recently joined Ian Rowes Management team and we all hope that she has a long and enjoyable time with our club.

Congratulations also to first team player Danny Ashton for firstly coming runner up as the Dudley News Sports Personality of the Year and secondly for hitting his 50th and 51st goals for the club in our weekend victory against Ledbury Town.

A reminder of our next Club Social - Our Race Night - on Friday 5th February at Baggeridge Sporst and Social Club, Gornal. Tickets priced £5 are still on sale, the price including a buffet.

1st Team

Finally back to winning ways after our enforced 6 week break. A comfortable 3-0 victory against Ledbury Town secures our top 6 position. See the Matches section for team news and a report on the game.

U18's

Suffered a 6-0 home defeat against Tipton Town,

Under 21's

Second placed Dudley Town lost out against Punjab with a narrow 1-0 defeat.

Under 17's

Unfortunately a 7-1 defeat in the Birmingham Cup! Keep going lads, hard work always pays dividends.

Under 15's

Our league leaders maintained their top position with a fine 7-0 victory against Black Country Tigers. A fantastic five goals from Alex Colesby and goals for Joe Morgan and Lional Kapinga sealed an impressive scoreline and victory.

Under 14's

No game this week, a further cancellation due to the weather.

Under 10's

Our Under 10's continue their quest to break into the top three with another deserved and hard fought away victory on Sunday morning against Kingsley Olympic. A first half goal from Liam Parkes and a second half strike from William Broadhouse were sufficient for our youngest set of Robins to gain another 3 points.
