Dudley News Sports Personality of Year 2009

Comiserations, but also a big Congratulations to Danny Ashton who was named as runner up in the 2009 Dudley News Sports Personality of the Year.

Danny led the poll for a long time until finallly overtaken in the last few days by DK Rugby stalwart Ian Langford.

It was a great honour for Danny firstly to be nominated and a fantastic achievement to get so close to receiving the award.

A big thanks to all the players, friends and families who contributed to a massive vote for Danny.

Look out for the next news story tomorrow when the November and December AJL Kitchen Design Player of the Month for both November and December will be announced.

These awards will be presented at tonights 1st Team training session at the Village Hotel Leisure Club.
