A Fond Farewell

Dudley Town tonight bid a fond farewell to French player Matthieu Jouannic

A couple of months ago the club received a speculative email from Matthieu explaining that he was over in the UK, and would the club be interested in giving him an opportunity of trials with the club. Matthieu's footballing C.V spoke for itself, and he had a history of playing at a decent level in the French leagues; from the very first training session it was obvious he was an excellent find. Before long he was an established 1st team regular, and winning the "Player of the Month" award for Sept.

Unfortunatley for the Robins Matthieu stay in England has come to an end, and he bids farewell to the club in tonights home game against Ludlow Town. Everyone at the club would like to wish Matthieu every success in the future in whatever he decides to do, and who knows one day he may return to these shores and don the red jersy of Dudley Town football club again.
